Our camp is designed for kids who love adventure, animals, and the outdoors. Before registering, please review the activity expectations and independence guidelines to ensure this is the best fit for your camper's individual needs and preferences. Learning Tree Farm is unique in offering small group sizes to better build personal connections and community. Because of this, there are limited spots available each week.
Ages: Minis 5-8, Juniors 7-12
Our Farm Camp is a fully outdoor program designed to provide an immersive and active experience in nature, and around our farm animals. To ensure your camper has a positive and enjoyable experience, please review the expectations below to determine if this program is the right fit for your family.
Outdoor Activities
Important Note: Due to the nature of our program and farm campus, we cannot change activities or make significant adjustments for individual campers.
To ensure a safe and positive experience for all campers, we expect them to meet the following behavioral and independence guidelines appropriate for a school-age outdoor camp. If a camper is removed from camp for not meeting these expectations, no refunds will be issued.
Independence Guidelines
Please consider whether your camper meets these expectations before registering:
Note: If you answer "No" to any of the above, please contact emma.wargo@learningtreefarm.org or call (719) 582-7162 8 am - 3 pm to discuss these expectations in greater detail, and determine if this program is a good fit for your camper.
At our Farm Camp, each day is thoughtfully designed to provide engaging, age-appropriate activities, exciting new experiences, and plenty of opportunities for fun and learning. Here's what a typical day looks like:
Morning Drop-off
On the first day on camp all campers will park in our front lot and check in at the Bank Barn.
For our Junior farmers, camper drop off will be from 9am-9:15am Tuesday through Thursday.
Mini’s will park and check in each day (Monday and Tuesday) at the Bank Barn.
Morning Meeting: We kick off the day with an all-camp gathering to welcome campers back for another amazing summer adventure. This is a time to connect with counselors and fellow campers, review the day’s schedule, and get excited about what’s to come.
Morning Activities: After Morning Meeting, campers break into small age-based groups for engaging activities tailored to their age. The first morning activity will always be a different chore around the farm.
Each group of campers will rotate through 3 activities per day. One activity will include teamwork, one will include a camp game, and one will be a craft.
Morning snacks will be provided, but please be sure to send your camper with a lunch each day of camp.
Afternoon Activities
All-Camp Activities: These weekly highlights bring all campers together for fun and camaraderie. They typically include water games, tag, and wildlife or farm animals games.
Note: Daily schedules are subject to change based on weather, guest availability, and other factors. Rest assured, each day is packed with fun, hands-on learning, and plenty of time to engage with the animals and the great outdoors!
Camper Pickup Protocol:
Each camper will get a popsicle at the end of every camp day.
Camper pick up will be from 3pm-3:15pm each day in the loop by the Bank Barn.
Each camper will have a list of approved adults to pick them up, so you will need to have your ID ready each day to ensure the safety of our campers.
Due to popular demand, this year we are happy to offer 2 weeks of Farm Camp to our community!
Our Mini Farmers (ages 5-8) will come to camp for 2 days (Monday and Tuesday) from 9 am - 3 pm to work hard and play hard.
This camp is geared towards younger campers that need more time or patience when out in nature or on the farm. This is a transitional camp to get your campers ready for a full week of farm fun when aged up!
Our Junior farmers (ages 7-12) will be on the farm for 4 days (Monday- Thursday) 9 am - 3 pm learning all about farm operations, animal husbandry, and outdoor recreation, like fishing skills, how to build a campfire, and recreational hiking.
This camp is geared towards older curious campers wanting to dig deep into the world of outdoor recreation as a farmer and beyond.
First week of Junior Farm Camp July 7-10, 2025.
Mini’s will run July 7th and 8th
Second week of Junior Farm Camp July 14-17, 2025.
